Position Summary
RH Community Builders seeks an accountant for operations. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, the ability to pivot between tasks quickly, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively within their department and the company as a whole. A candidate with property management experience is preferable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Complete General Bookkeeping
Maintain Financial Reports and Ledgers
Assist with preparing budgets and forecasting
A/R and A/P reconciliation
Assist with Billing Department
Review and approve semi monthly payroll
Manage and evaluates accounting systems, policies and procedures
Perform activities involved in the maintenance and control of the general ledger. Review and/or initiates and posts journal entries; monitor posted financial data; research and review transactions; and advise departments on proper coding.
Ensure that expenses, deposits, owner distributions, funding requests and other financial transactions for a given period have been accurately posted
Participate in review and distribution of monthly Owner’s statements
Participate in all areas of accounts payable, receivable, and weekly check runs, including proper account coding in relation to annual budgets and GL consistency
Review of CAM reconciliations
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Computer literate (Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly
Close attention to detail and organization
Ability to effectively communicate
