About the Promotions and Accounts Receivable Role

This position will have the goal of ensuring all accounting associated with promotional expense chargeback revenue and the associated receivables for PMA is complete accurately and in a timely manner.  The role regularly liaises with suppliers and PMA marketing to ensure accounts between PMA and the supplier are reconciled and up-to-date.

Key Deliverables

Core Competencies

  1. Supplier Contract Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the PMA agreements with suppliers on A&P reimbursement, terms, required backup, chargeback method, etc. .
  2. A&P understanding and GAAP Understanding of various types of advertising and promotion used by commercial teams and appropriate support that suppliers would likely expect. Understanding of purchase order process and internal controls and signoffs. Understanding of LCBs, as well as the rules and regulation associated with the promotion of beverage alcohol industry.
  3. People Management: Demonstrates skills in leading, coaching, developing and managing individuals and teams.
  4. Working Capital (Inventory) management: Regular review of receivable aging to ensure appropriate actions and follow-ups taken, and working capital goals are met.
  5. Commercial Acumen, Awareness & Influence: Strong understanding of both PMA as a whole and the beverage alcohol industry as it relates to PMA Finance.   Ability to influence others when making decisions on inventory positions.
