Accountant / Payroll Specialist

Take ownership of payroll and accounting in a role where accuracy, consistency, and trust matter. trak group is seeking an Accountant / Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations while supporting key accounting functions in a stable, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll and manage payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end reporting (W-2s)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Support monthly close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records, support audits, and resolve discrepancies across payroll and financial data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Position Details

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Setting: 100% Onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $60,000–$85,000/year
