Job DescriptionIgnite Your Accounting Career at Lockheed Martin – Where Cutting Edge Innovation Meets Real World Impact!Join a dynamic corporate accounting team that empowers early career professionals to drive financial excellence for a global aerospace leader. You’ll dive into cash flow strategy, collaborate across business units, and shape compliance from SOX 404 testing to SEC disclosures—all while gaining mentorship, rapid skill growth, and the chance to see your work power the next generation of aerospace breakthroughs.The Corporation accounting team is seeking an accountant and the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• Review, analyze and record daily corporate cash transactions;• Coordinate with operating units and prepare and analyze the Federal reserve Bank quarterly report;• Partner with operating units and corporate departments regarding cash transactions;• Responsible for SOX 404 testing of non-cash processes;• Assist with the accounting close in the preparation of schedules;• Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations;• Responsible for deferred compensation and billing;• Responsible for taking a fresh approach in the analysis of accounts ensuring compliance with corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);• Assist in the preparation quarterly tax schedules and Forward Pricing Schedules for the Corporate Tax department, Long Range Plans for the FP&A group;• Assist in the preparation of certain disclosures in the SEC 10-Q, 10-K and Proxy;• Support and participate in special projects.• Onsite requirements are at least one day/week in officeBasic Qualifications• Understanding of U.S. GAAP• Bachelor's degree in Accounting• 2 year minimum of corporate accounting experienceDesired skills• Ability to work well in teams and work cross-functionally to accomplish tasks• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work• Effective communication and interpersonal skills• Attention to detail while meeting deadlines• Effective problem solving skills• Demonstrated use of AI technology effectivelyLockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,600 - $106,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $69,700 - $120,750.
