About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Accountant (Korean/English) to join our growing team. This position will support three businesses and play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow monitoring, bookkeeping, and process improvement initiatives across various entities.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and collaborating with leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage daily accounting activities for three business entities and operating divisions.
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting.
- Support annual audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements.
Operational Support
- Analyze financial performance across three businesses and provide operational insights.
- Develop and improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Work closely with department managers to monitor budgets and expenses.
- Assist leadership with special projects, financial modeling, and business analysis.
- Support the implementation and optimization of accounting software and business systems.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders in both Korean and English.
- Coordinate with external CPAs, payroll providers, banks, and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Professional fluency in both Korean and English (written and verbal).
- Experience managing accounting functions for multiple entities or business units.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting professional services firms, accounting firms, logistics companies, or multi-entity organizations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and HR-related accounting functions.
