Job Description:
This is a temporary position expected to last one - two months with the possibility of a permanent position through competitive recruitment processes.
Process invoices for payment by researching appropriate coding and ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
Review employee reimbursement requests (ERDs) for compliance with all state rules and regulations; process approved documents for payment.
Support accounts receivable functions, including processing incoming payments and maintaining accurate records.
Prepare and enter journal entries to fix coding discrepancies, when necessary.
Review and analyze general ledger transactions within the state’s EnterpriseOne (E1) financial system.
Manage EnterpriseOne (E1) address book requests for both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Additional duties to support the overall function of the finance team.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or vocational education in accounting, finance, business administration or related field OR experience performing accounting functions including interpreting and analyzing financial data.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EnterpriseOne fixed assets and purchasing modules. Certified to perform procurement activities in E1
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Professional accounting principles and practices; generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and standards; Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to accounting/finance operations.
Skills in:
Strong analytical and communications skills, both verbal and written, skills in listening to and understanding information received; extreme attention to detail; interpersonal skills.
Ability to:
Apply the principles of accounting, and fiscal management; analyze data and draw conclusions; organize and present facts and opinions so others will understand; communicate to exchange and elicit information.
