What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire Contract Accountant to work part-time in our Cross Border division. This position falls under our Stored Value line of business and is located in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will be expected to assist and perform a broad range of accounting tasks including handling of weekly and monthly reconciliations, invoicing, assisting senior accountants with month end responsibilities and performing other general accounting duties. You should possess a basic understanding of the accounting processes, internal controls, bookkeeping procedures, automated accounting systems and knowledge of applicable laws.
You are detail oriented, organized, and focused on diligently following key processes to maintain utmost accuracy in your day-to-day work. Proficient in operating accounting systems and software, you are efficient in your work and able to meet month end and other deadlines with ease. Able to communicate successfully with the team and external parties, you are ready to help and support our ever-changing and growing goals. You will report directly to VP of Finance and regularly collaborate with teams and departments.

Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include:
Weekly and monthly reconciliations and preparing monthly statements to send out to merchants Assisting with weekly invoicing and tracking payments received Assisting with verifying gift card credit returns Inputting of data into various templates used for analysis and month end journal entries Files and archives accounting documents and maintains required records, reports, and files in an accurate, secure, and organized manner
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma in Accounting or Finance, or actively enrolled in a recognized accounting program 2+ year professional related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience or training Excellent track record in performing accounting functions Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal, provincial and local tax regulations Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a positive, respectful, and service-oriented approach to interactions with others and enjoys working as part of a team Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage competing priorities High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to planning and executing work with accuracy Ability to work independently, with moderate supervision; with a demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines Creative, with the ability to take initiative in suggesting improvements and innovations Experience with computerized accounting systems, MS Word, spreadsheets (Excel), and databases an asset

At Corpay it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD $42.00/hourly-$45.00/hourly.
