Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Fayetteville, AR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and bookkeeping, with proficiency in invoicing, billing, payroll processing, and general ledger management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, whether working independently or collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payables and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and other accounting records.
- Prepare and manage invoicing and billing using standard systems and spreadsheets.
- Apply standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices.
- Utilize office productivity applications efficiently to support accounting functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Communicate effectively with staff and establish positive working relationships.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient with standard invoicing and billing systems and spreadsheets.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices.
- Significant experience with office productivity applications and a strong aptitude for technology.
- Experience with payables, receivables, payroll processing, and general ledger work.
- Excellent organizational skills with a detail-minded approach and high accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
- Strong service-oriented attitude and personable nature.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with staff.
- Ability to strictly maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with Sage and Paycor is a plus.
