Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable In-House Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, supporting payroll and tax preparation, and assisting leadership with financial reporting and budgeting. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Record daily financial transactions and journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and customer billing
- Monitor cash flow and maintain financial documentation
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Generate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Track company expenses and identify discrepancies or cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules if applicable
Payroll & Compliance
- Process payroll and ensure timely employee compensation
- Maintain payroll records and employee reimbursement documentation
- Assist with sales tax filings, payroll tax reporting, and year-end tax preparation
- Coordinate with external CPA or tax professionals as needed
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and applicable regulations
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized financial filing systems (digital and physical)
- Support audits and financial reviews
- Assist management with special projects and financial analysis
- Recommend process improvements for accounting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in Restaurant 365 preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll systems and tax filings preferred
- High level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a small business or growing company environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
- Familiarity with budgeting and operational reporting
- Strong analytical and time-management skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $25-$40/hour based on experience

Work Schedule
- Full-time (30+ hours)
- In-office position located in Louisville, CO
- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility as needed

Compensation: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
