Key Emphases:
The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position supports the cooperative's financial health and contributes to strategic decision-making through timely and precise accounting practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Three (3) years of accounting experience.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.
Special Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master's degree in accounting or related field.
- Experience with annual organization-wide budget processes.
- RUS and FERC accounting practices and principles.
- Financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Strong team player.
- Forward thinking, with a drive towards process improvement, efficiency, excellence.
- Strong technical aptitude.
Compensation and Benefits:
- 401(k) plan with employer match of 14% with 7% employee contribution
- 20 hours of PTO per month, 0-4 years of service
