Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team at Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah. This full-time, year-round role supports the Assistant Financial Controller and plays an essential part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the resort’s financial operations. You will contribute to financial reporting, internal controls, and retail accounting while working alongside a collaborative and detail-oriented team.
Responsibilities
Support month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and inventory support.
Complete daily income audits and generate related reports.
Oversee all aspects of gallery retail accounting, including sales, inventory tracking, and adjustments.
Track gallery consignment sales and prepare monthly invoices.
Conduct petty cash audits in compliance with company policy.
Manage daily banking activities and maintain financial records.
Prepare and submit monthly sales tax filings for the state of Utah.
Maintain lease and contract records, and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
Provide analysis of credit card transaction fees and assist in managing related journal entries.
Support finance team with ad hoc tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in hospitality or luxury resort settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
Experience with Opera, Micros/Symphony, Sun Systems, or Birchstreet is an advantage.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
Legal right to work in the United States.
