Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Accountant Advanced within the Administrative and Fiscal Unit of the Office of Finance and Administration. This individual will process accounts payable and travel vouchers for various offices within the agency, perform complex accounting and auditing work, as well as prepare, examine, reconcile, and analyze complex statements and reports. This individual will maintain official accounting records for the grant accounts and prepare grant agreement obligations. This position is responsible for effectively communicating with assigned offices and Divisions as well as auditing travel vouchers for accuracy and completeness to verify that they are in accordance with the Governor’s Travel Control Board’s regulations.
