Job Description
A respected public accounting firm in Woodstock, NB is looking for a driven Accountant to join their professional team. This role is well suited for a CPA professional early in their post-CFE career who enjoys working closely with clients and gaining broad exposure across audit and assurance engagements.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Participate in audit, review, and compilation engagements for a range of clients
- Prepare financial statements, working papers, and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial reporting, compliance, and year-end engagements
- Work directly with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries
- Support managers and partners in delivering high-quality client service
- Contribute to engagement completion within established timelines
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- 1–3 years of public accounting experience following CFE completion
- Strong audit and assurance experience within a public practice environment
- Experience with private companies and owner-managed businesses considered an asset
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with accounting and audit software
