Job Description
Our client, a well-established public accounting firm in Fredericton, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a designated professional with strong audit and public practice experience who is looking to advance their career in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Lead and support audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Prepare and review financial statements and working papers
- Assist clients with accounting, financial reporting, and compliance matters
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to engagement planning
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across a variety of industries
- Collaborate with partners and managers on client deliverables and timelines
- CPA designation completed (or near completion)
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting following CFE completion
- Strong audit and assurance background
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses and private enterprises
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software
