- Prepare and examine financial statements across multiple entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and federal contract requirements
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations across all entities
- Execute and support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciling schedules
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including invoice processing, payment runs, and collections follow-up
- Support tax preparation and compliance efforts in coordination with the company CPA, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts as directed
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across all entities in QuickBooks Online
- Organize, analyze, and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and retention requirements
- Assess financial operations, identify risks and challenges, and make best-practices recommendations to management
- Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits
- Ensure that accounting systems are up to date, accurate, and secure
- Process and track expense reimbursements, purchase orders, and corporate credit card transactions
- Support payroll processing, including reviewing timekeeping data, verifying accuracy, and assisting with payroll reconciliations
- Work closely with the company CPA, VP of Finance, and Corporate Finance Operations Manager to ensure all financial needs are met
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records across multiple entities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience working within a multi-company accounting environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Knowledge of productivity and collaboration tools, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Critical thinking, problem solving, analytic reasoning, and data analysis
- Able to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Can work independently and without supervision when required

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 2 years' experience working as an accountant
- Experience with multi-entity or fund accounting preferred
- Experience with federal contract accounting or government cost accounting standards is a plus
- Relevant certifications (CPA, CMA, etc.) are a plus
