An Account Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the organization's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in bookkeeping and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
- Maintain and organize accounting files and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Assist accountants and auditors with financial reviews and audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Effective communication and time-management skills.

- Experience with payroll administration.
- Understanding of tax preparation and reporting requirements.
