IT Finance Controller

Position Summary

As the IT Finance Controller, you'll serve as a finance partner to Nestlé IT leadership, working across Purina, IT & Digital, Finance, and enterprise teams to guide investment choices, steward financial performance, and help ensure technology spend delivers meaningful business value. Reporting directly to the Head of IT & Digital Americas Finance & Control, this highly visible role serves as the lead finance partner for the Purina IT portfolio, influencing investment decisions, funding priorities, and portfolio performance across a complex technology landscape. You'll help leaders balance strategic priorities, financial discipline, and value creation by providing insight, challenge, and guidance that support sound decision-making. • Lead financial planning, forecasting, investment optimization, and scenario analysis to ensure investments remain affordable, appropriately funded, and aligned with strategic value drivers.  

• Serve as a trusted advisor on IT business case development, capitalization, project accounting, funding mechanisms, and investment governance, providing independent financial challenge and guidance 

• Drive transparency into portfolio economics, financial risks, and investment trade-offs, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency, eliminate duplication, optimize spend, and enhance financial outcomes 

• Enable data-driven decisions regarding investment timing, scope, and resource deployment through robust financial analysis and forward-looking insights 

• Lead through collaboration and influence, coaching partners and strengthening financial acumen, accountability, and future-ready capabilities 

• Improve and simplify planning, forecasting, reporting, investment governance, cost allocation, chargeback, capitalization, and performance routines 

• Champion analytics, automation, and digital finance tools that reduce manual work and improve decision support 

• Lead planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance reviews with clear assumptions, risks, opportunities, and actions 

• Maintain one trusted financial view across systems and stakeholders, including management reporting, allocations, chargebacks, contracts, accruals, and audit readiness 

• Ensure Purina priorities remain aligned with enterprise investment governance, accounting, and control standards 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, International Relations, or a related field 

• 7+ years of finance or accounting experience, including responsibilities that demonstrate sound judgment, cross-functional partnership, and business impact 

• 5+ years of experience supporting projects, project management, or change management activities through a finance or accounting role 

• 3+ years of experience using tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, SAP reporting, or related digital finance and analytics platforms 

Other: 

• Advanced degree, professional certification, or additional credentials in finance, accounting, business, or digital capabilities is preferred

Salary: $111,798.00 to $160,735.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
