Tax Manager

Our client, a respected and established public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to lead client engagements, review complex tax returns, provide strategic tax planning, and serve as a trusted advisor to privately held businesses and business owners. • Engagement Management: Oversee tax workflow, deadlines, budgets, and communication for business and individual accounts.
• Review & Compliance: Review complex tax returns, including partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and pass-through entities, ensuring multi-state and local tax compliance.
• Advisory & Planning: Provide year-round strategic tax planning, entity structure consulting, and proactive business advisory support.
• Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and review the work of tax staff and seniors while collaborating directly with firm leadership.

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Active CPA or EA license.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Solid technical knowledge of federal tax laws and return reviews.
• Experience managing client relationships and tax engagements.
• Experience reviewing business tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and pass-through entities.

• Experience with privately held businesses, pass-through entities, and multi-state / SALT considerations.
• Proven track record in client relationship management and staff mentorship.
• Partnership and S corporation tax experience.
• Interest in client advisory and consulting work.
