Lutheran Services, is a leading provider in the aged care and retirement living sector. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial management of our capital and retirement living assets.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in business, finance, or accounting, along with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess CA or CPA status, advanced Excel skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading financial accounting, management reporting, and analysis for our retirement living business stream. You will also contribute to budget preparation, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure the integrity of financial information. Additionally, you will provide strategic advice and guidance on accounting matters to support the overall financial health of the organisation.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have exposure to complex ERP systems, experience in external audits, and a track record of working with various government departments. Prior experience in aged care services or not-for-profit organisations, along with knowledge of Power BI or data warehousing, will be advantageous. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes are essential.
