Summary:

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring services and/or materials consistent with the needs of Client Long Island Procurement Operations Group. The role involves accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development, and contract administration while maintaining compliance with enterprise procurement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and coordinate procurement activities which include preparation of bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, negotiating terms & conditions, issuing contracts, amendments, purchase orders, and change orders as required.
• Independently negotiate and settle supplier claims and back-charges with guidance provided as needed.
• Foster and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Manage client relationships and communicate contractual commitments.
• Represent Client Long Island in the external marketplace.
• Possess general knowledge of the sourcing process, prior experience in construction procurement, project management, and contract law.

Required Skills:

• High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Procurement experience valuable.
• Supply chain experience.
• Microsoft Proficiency required.
• High level written and verbal skills required.
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and reading for comprehension.
