Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This is a temporary position that will sunset on 09/20/2025, and is budgeted for 4-20 hours/week, as needed.

As a Mental Health Biller, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:
- Performs all billing data input, information tracking, error correction, and follow-up on Department of Mental Health (DMH) contract.
- Submit Department of Mental Health electronic EDI billing on a timely basis as designated in the government entities contracts and by the agency.
- Prepare the “Monthly Utilization Report”, claim reconciliation reports, and other reports as needed related to claims and the management of the Department of Mental Health contracts.
- Tracks Mental Health billable units per program in the EHRS “Welligent”, run billing reports and compare our State Contract Approvals to our submitted billing reports.
- Maintains all billing-related configurations in the EHRS, such as paysources, rates, and billing rules. Become the agency expert on the EHRS billing configuration and provide consultation to the EHIM department as required.
- Assists in preparing for audits. Work with the Management to assist auditors in gathering documentation/ responses to any audit findings and may be responsible for writing and following up on any action plans needed to correct audit findings.
