The OpportunityMADE Sports is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, this role will serve as a strategic business partner across the organization by providing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis that supports executive decision-making. You'll work closely with leaders across Operations, Events, Sales, Marketing, Basketball Operations, and Executive Leadership to evaluate business performance, improve profitability, and develop data-driven recommendations that help shape the future of MADE Hoops.

What You'll Do:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
- Build financial models to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and key performance indicators across the organization.
- Evaluate the financial performance of tournaments, leagues, camps, showcases, and other business initiatives.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and communicate findings to leadership.
- Prepare executive dashboards, financial reports, and KPI scorecards.
- Create presentations that translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Support monthly business reviews and executive leadership meetings.
- Assist with Board-level reporting and strategic planning materials.
- Partner with department leaders to develop budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Support Operations with event planning and post-event financial analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to evaluate revenue trends and campaign performance.
- Provide financial guidance on new programs, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities.
- Improve reporting processes through automation and dashboard development.
- Build scalable reporting tools using Excel, Google Sheets, and business intelligence platforms.
- Help improve data quality and reporting consistency across departments.
- Participate in finance systems implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or financial analysis.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and executive-level reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems.
- Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or event-driven organizations.
- MBA, CFA, or other advanced finance credentials are a plus.
