Position Overview
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial guidance to business partners in order to fully understand performance and optimize strategic and tactical decision-making. The Analyst directly supports the accurate planning, reporting, and analysis of the financial performance of assigned areas.Job Description
Description
- Prepare, communicate, and align on timelines for all assigned areas of the companies' budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure timelines are met and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure known contract changes are factored into assumptions.
- Load planning data into financial planning tools and ensure correct and consistent representation in planning and reporting environments.
- Prepare and provide analysis throughout planning processes to finance and other key stakeholders to enable internal understanding and effective presentation to company leadership.
- Prepare analysis on assigned areas for monthly/quarterly executive presentations (board decks, ops reviews, audits, etc.) to assist with the completion of Weekly P&L reviews with business partner leadership. Assess the format of recurring reporting for format, timing, frequency, as well as the recipients to ensure analysis provides best basis for decision making.
- Explain variances versus plans and prior year by providing insights and guidance to internal business partners.
- Ensure the correct representation of the P&L for business activities in collaboration with Accounting.
- Create ad hoc analysis to assist business customers as required.

Skills
- Specialized Knowledge : General understanding of key accounting principles and GAAP.
- Special Skills : Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and software (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system) preferred; Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Years Of Experience
- 2-5 : Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Finance, including understanding of key accounting principles.
