Key Objectives
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity by ensuring all payable transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. You will assist in managing vendor relationships and contribute to smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in accordance with company policies.
Match purchase orders, invoices, and payment vouchers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.
Assist with reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries.
Assist with data entry and maintaining the accounts payable system.
Contribute to process improvements and compliance with company financial controls.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance is advantageous but not required.
