Administers the financial function for a KYOCERA AVX division, with responsibility and/or global financial reporting. Works closely with department heads, operations manager, and executive leadership to maximize profitability, to project the company’s assets, and to ensure adherence to corporate and division financial policies.

  • Ensure effective systems, procedures, and staff to maintain accurate books of account and other financial records, to ensure accurate data for reporting and analysis.
  • Manage general accounting functions, including inventory, cost, fixed assets accounting, etc.
  • Report and interpret financial results and performance measurement against budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to effective financial controls so as to ensure protection of the assets and profitability of the Division.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform cost and financial analysis as required.
  • Provide analysis and technical guidance in financial and cost matters to operations managers and department heads.
  • Identify profit opportunities and assist in the implementation of profit improvement projects.
  • Ensure effective financial management and conformance to financial policies in offshore plants.
  • Control capital expenditures and perform financial analysis and justification of capital and major expense proposals.
  •          BA/BS Degree in Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
  •          Six (6) to ten (10) years accounting and financial management experience, at least five (5) years in a supervisory role.
  •          Experience in a high technology manufacturing environment preferred.
  •          Ability to develop, implement and maintain effective financial policies and practices in a large manufacturing business.
  •          Must have superior oral and written communication skills.
  •          Must have a clear understanding of manufacturing operations, computer systems and product cost.
