- Develop and implement a company-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish purchasing policies, procedures, approval processes, and internal controls.
- Lead and manage the procurement function and purchasing team.
- Establish procurement KPIs and regularly report results to executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases and leverage company-wide buying power.
- Develop annual procurement goals, budgets, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate purchasing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, payment terms, freight arrangements, warranties, and other contractual terms.
- Establish preferred vendor programs and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Monitor vendor performance related to pricing, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and service.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and negotiate improvements when performance does not meet expectations.
- Maintain competitive bidding processes for significant purchases.
- Develop contingency suppliers for critical materials and products to minimize operational disruptions.
- Develop and execute cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or operational requirements.
- Monitor market pricing and industry trends to identify purchasing opportunities.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify spending patterns, price variances, and savings opportunities.
- Establish appropriate purchasing thresholds and approval requirements.
- Track and report procurement savings and cost avoidance.
- Ensure purchases comply with approved budgets and company policies.
- Partner with Warehouse and Operations leadership to establish appropriate inventory levels and reorder points.
- Monitor inventory availability, turnover, shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete materials.
- Develop strategies to reduce stockouts while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate purchasing forecasts based on operational demand and business needs.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or strategic sourcing experience.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating vendor pricing, contracts, and purchasing terms.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing significant purchasing spend.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply-chain principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and procurement/inventory management systems.
- Experience in HVAC, construction, manufacturing, distribution, facilities, or a related industry.
- Experience managing multi-location procurement operations.
- Experience implementing procurement software, ERP systems, or purchasing platforms.
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or related credential.
- Experience developing supplier scorecards and strategic sourcing programs.
- Work is performed primarily indoors.
- Lighting is artificial.
- Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, printer and copier.
- Physical demands include sitting, repetitive use of hands, grasping, walking, standing, bending over, climbing, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling and light lifting as required to perform job duties.
- Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required.
- Position requires contact with Blue Mountain Inc. employees and outside vendors.
