Cost & Financial Analyst

The Plant Cost & Financial Analyst supports the Plant Controller in delivering accurate, timely and insightful manufacturing finance reporting. The role owns a recurring cadence of weekly and intra-week reports — WIP, inventory transactions, material usage variance, PPV and the plant P&L — and prepares the Analysis of Change (Client) that explains period-over-period movements in plant performance. The analyst turns transactional data into clear explanations of cost drivers and flags anomalies early so the Controller and Operations leadership can act on them.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- desirable experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance or plant finance.
- Understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, WIP, PPV and usage variances.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) and experience working with ERP data.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile data across multiple sources.
Preferred
- Experience with Oracle ERP (costing, inventory and subledger reporting).
- Exposure to engineer-to-order or project-based manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query or other reporting automation tools.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Key Competencies
- Analytical rigor: explains the "why" behind the numbers, not just the numbers.
- Ownership and reliability: delivers a high-frequency reporting cadence on time, every time.
- Proactive communication: flags anomalies and data errors early, with a proposed next step.
- Collaboration: works effectively with Master Data, Operations, Purchasing and Finance partners.
- Continuous improvement: simplifies and automates recurring work.
