Job Purpose
This role supports our financial operations by analyzing costs, evaluating production efficiency, and assisting in inventory and margin analysis. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate cost data and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze cost data, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
Perform variance analysis (e.g., actual vs. standard, budget vs. actual) and provide insights to management.
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to understand cost drivers and ensure data accuracy.
Support inventory valuation processes and cycle/physical counts.
Help with month-end close activities, including cost entries and correcting subledger costing errors.
Handle confidential information related to cost and gross margins from customer sales.
Administer the freight claims process for inventory damaged by carriers.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, or relevant experience in a cost accounting position.
0-2 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
Proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Experience
Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP is preferred).
Understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation.
Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment.
May require prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
