Job Description

Join our dynamic and innovative technology company client as Controller. This permanent role based in Dartmouth, NS is ideal for a diligent and reliable professional looking to contribute their skills to a driven team as they approach a business acquisition.  

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Full cycle accounting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Financial statements
  • Month-end
  • HST filing
  • Maintain chart of accounts and accounting filing systems
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy over accounting transactions
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Skills & Attributes for Success:

  • Post secondary education in accounting or other relevant program
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar full cycle, hands-on role
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Superior attention to detail with proven time management skills
  • Positive and professional interpersonal skills with articulate and adaptable verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated work ethic with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
