Overview

Summary: The Cash Management Staff Accountant provides overall department accounting support and assists with a variety of accounting functions within standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Analyze bank reconciliations daily prepare/propose journal entries if necessary.
  • Perform tenant ledger reconciliations.
  • Solve any discrepancies by working with other departments.
  • Reserve processing.
  • Ensure all month-end processes are followed and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Assists in preparation of monthly accounting work papers.
  • Assist in the preparation of year end audit.
  • Assists with special projects and due diligence as requested.

 

Requirements and Desired Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of accounting or AR experience 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
