As the Business Development Manager – Tax Advisory Services, you will focus on partnering with leadership (Tax Practice Unit and R&D Tax Credit Service Line) to provide strategic direction and identify industry-specific sales leads to help achieve the long-term growth of the R&D Tax Credit practice and ultimately the firm. You will utilize your consultative and relationship building skills to drive consistency in enhancing and executing our business development strategy and to help expand our brand in the marketplaces that are non-traditional to the firm.

We are open to individuals working remotely from Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia for this opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with leadership to instill strong alignment with business development principles across industry teams and to enhance our strategy to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects
  • Research and apply analysis of market insights and competitive trends to help drive our growth strategy
  • Identify and make initial contact with geographically and industry-specific prospects with the ultimate goal of scheduling face-to-face or virtual meetings with our R&D Tax Credit Subject Matter Experts (‚ÄúSMEs‚Äù)
  • Understand various networks and have an ability to build, expand and leverage existing relationships
  • Participate in industry organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a robust set of professional relationships
  • Attend select regional and national industry-focused conferences to represent the firm and identify sales leads
  • Leverage our CRM system to track progress of growth efforts and to provide analytics to stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree is required; advanced degree/MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience selling public accounting and/or consulting services; previous business development experience within public accounting and/or consulting industry is required
  • Experience selling tax advisory services is required; experience selling research & development tax services/credits, SALT (state and local tax) services/credits and/or other tax credits and incentives is not required, but strongly preferred
  • Experience with CRM system is required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is strongly preferred
  • Experience working on and/or selling consulting services in the following industries is not required, but strongly preferred: Construction/Engineering, Manufacturing, Energy and Emerging Technology
  • Understanding of industry issues and company level issues facing larger middle market organizations
