Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist I (Temp), you'll play an important role in keeping BJ's Restaurants running behind the scenes by ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. You'll manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations while maintaining the integrity of our financial records and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external partners.

Success in this role comes from being organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems. You'll collaborate across teams, build strong vendor relationships, and support special projects, all while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position is considered temporary for up to 6 months. 

How You’ll Contribute

• Own the full accounts payable cycle for your assigned region, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and restaurant teams by responding to questions, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Review and audit invoices for accuracy, researching and resolving discrepancies in coding, pricing, and payment details.
• Reconcile vendor statements and proactively identify opportunities to resolve outstanding balances.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing account analyses and ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records in accordance with company standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support special projects that enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Payable function.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
• Experience in a multi-unit or multi-location organization is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships through strong communication and customer service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment to identify issues and drive effective solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A sense of urgency, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Salary

USD $25/hour 

This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
