HYBRID: Onsite Tuesday
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the processing, recording, and filing of company invoices, in accordance with department Policies and Procedures.   
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

>Review and process invoices for accuracy, to include coding, routing for approval, posting in accounting system, scanning, indexing, and filing. Enter invoices into the accounting system for timely payments. 

>Maintain accurate vendor records and reconcile discrepancies. 

>Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors. 

>Assist in month-end closing and accruals. 

>Reconciling vendor accounts. 

>Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. 

>Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong supplier relationships. 

>Prepare and issue reports related to accounts payable as needed. 

>Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls. 

>Participate/assist with quarterly and annual audits. 

>Assist in preparation of 1099 reports and forms at year-end, as needed.  

Required Education, Skills, and Experience 

>High school diploma or equivalent. 

>Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting. 

>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). 

>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. 

>Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactions. 

>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 

 Preferred
>Experience with ERP systems.  

>Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).  

>Strong communication skills for vendor and internal interactions.
