Multiple clients and experiences: No two days will be the same. You will do a variety of work including accounting, transactions (i.e. IPOs, preferred stock financings, etc.), and SOX.

Review daily/weekly/monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries
Review monthly general ledger account reconciliations
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
Prepare/review work papers to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Prepare accounting memos and identify common life science accounting issues
Provide key support in articulating internal audit strategies, developing internal audit plans, and managing all planning associated with SOX engagements
Review high quality, well-organized SOX deliverables including but not limited to narratives, flowcharts, walkthroughs, test work, exception templates, and process improvement recommendations
Manage various client relationships
Project manage all relevant accounting and SOX work for all clients you work on, including supervising various direct reports
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field required; CPA a plus
5+ years professional accounting experience preferred
Public accounting experience highly preferred
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP required
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple clients with competing priorities
Excellent communication and writing skills required
Self-directed and hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision
Have a desire to learn
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
