Job Summary:

(Full Time, Remote)

An Accounting Manager, Transaction Processing is responsible for managing the effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement of the accounting team responsible for general ledger transactions of the organization. Additionally, this position will coordinate communication between the health system and its various sites (hospitals, clinics, health systems, and corporate.)

The Manager, Accounting leads accounting activities, ensuring the provision of accurate financial data to internal stakeholders. This role is essential in the monthly close process, involving the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses, while also supervising staff. It upholds internal controls, aligning with established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Completes monthly close responsibilities within the established timeline including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Supervises assigned staff, reviews their work and contributes to their professional development.
  • Performs variance analysis and other required reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Supports requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Provides guidance to internal customers on accounting matters including allocations of costs, proper recording of invoices and other transactions, etc.
  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 4-6 years experience in corporate accounting or public accounting

Preferred: 

  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Healthcare Industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Certified Public Accountant
