Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of this position include overseeing the accounting activities for various clients. This position reports to the Accounting Director of their assigned team.
 
The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:
 
·         Oversee the daily finance operations of the accounting activities for assigned clients
·         Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
·         Responsible for running monthly reports and financials for assigned clients
·         Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes to ensure all deadlines are met
·         Manage the yearly audit and 990 process for assigned clients
·         Responsible for creating new GL accounts and answering any questions
·         Responsible for reviewing and approving payments and transactions as needed
·         Monitors the shared Finance email inboxes for assigned clients
·         Ad hoc reporting
 
Other duties
·         Special projects as assigned
·         Cross-train in Accounts Payable and Payroll to provide occasional assistance or coverage as needed
 
Skills and Education:
·         Ability and willingness to learn new systems and skills
·         Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple priorities
·         Detail oriented and highly organized
·         Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
·         Computer literacy in Office Windows environment including proficiency with Excel
·         Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience required
·         Background in accounting, finance, or related field required
·         Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred
·         CPA highly preferred
