Accounting Analyst

Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a motivated Accounting Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis based in Dartmouth, NS and contribute their strong analysis skills to drive company success. As the ideal candidate, you have a passion for data and numbers, solid problem resolution skills, and are looking for a role where you can contribute these skills as a valuable player within a dedicated and energized professional group.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
• Billing reconciliations
• Assist with process improvement projects related to billing, efficiency, and automation
• Resolve complex billing issues
• Process adjustments
• Financial data analysis
• Special accounting projects as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in business, finance, or accounting
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience is ideal
• Prior experience working within a small public firm is an asset, but not required
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Detail-oriented and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Organized work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines and stay on task in an independent work environment
• Positive and professional communication skills with the ability to foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
