N/AActing under the general supervision of the Manager of Patient Financial Services, this position is responsible for the comprehensive reconciliation of accounts within active accounts receivable. The role oversees the accuracy of contractual reimbursement, supports the reconciliation and proper allocation of variances, and monitors the ongoing accuracy of both contracting and billing practices as they relate to reimbursement and denials. Additionally, this position ensures payer compliance with established contract terms.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Business, Health Care Management, or related field. Able to read, write, and communicate in English. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, HCPCS/CPT coding, UB-04, and third-party payer regulations required.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ recent experience in a healthcare (preferably hospital) claims environment, with experience in all major third-party payers, to include, but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Managed Care, Commercial, Worker’s compensation and No-Fault. Must be well versed in PC Spreadsheet applications and programs.
